A sequential procedure is a collection of statistical techniques for the analysis of problems in which the response is influenced by other variables. The objective is to optimize the response.
- First-order model - A linear function of independent variables.
 - Second order model - Curvature of a polynomial of higher degree.
 - Contour Plot - A 2-D projection of the curvatures.

Canonical form & optimization.
